What the files are
/agents.md and /llms.txt are files AI assistants and AI crawlers read to understand a shop: who you are, what you sell, where your policies are. Shopify serves a default version; the app replaces it with one generated from your catalogue.
Generating and checking
Under SEO → AI search you generate both files with one click. You write the opening paragraph yourself — with AI help if you like — and the rest is generated from your products, collections and policies. The app then fetches the real address and shows whether your version is really being served.
If you want, the app refreshes the files automatically when they are out of date. “Remove our version” hands the address back to Shopify at any time.
robots.txt
The same area checks whether your robots.txt locks out AI crawlers — some themes and apps do, without anybody noticing.
