Why WebP

At the same visual quality, WebP files are usually much smaller than JPEG or PNG. Smaller images load faster, and the largest image on a page often decides its measured load time.

How it works

In the Image Variant Manager you select images and start the conversion. It runs in the background; the converted image replaces the original wherever it is used, keeping its variant assignment and alt text.
