Lab measurement
Under SEO → Page speed & quality you test a page with Google PageSpeed Insights: Core Web Vitals such as LCP, CLS and INP, plus accessibility and best practices from the same run. Every value explains what it measures and what typically makes it worse in Shopify shops.
Real visitors
With the “Web Vitals” app embed, the app measures the values for your actual visitors. This data often differs markedly from the lab measurement, and it is what Google rates. With little traffic it takes a few days until there are enough measurements.
