Redirects and 404 errors

Manage 301 redirects, resolve redirect chains and fix frequent 404 errors.

The walkthrough for this topic is being recorded. Until then, the text below covers everything.

Managing redirects

Under SEO → Redirects you view, search, create and delete your shop's redirects. Import and export use two columns, source path and target path; the import also recognises exports from Shopify, Yoast and Rank Math.

Chains

If A redirects to B and B to C, every visit takes a detour. The app finds such chains and loops in your redirect list and lets you point A straight at C.

404 errors

Addresses that visitors request and that do not exist are collected and sorted by frequency. For each one you can create a redirect to the right page directly. They are recorded as soon as one of the app's embeds is active in your theme.
